Homemade Beef Stew
2 lbs. Beef stew meat cubed
2 c. Baby carrots
5 Celery, ribs sliced
3 potatoes cubed
3 Garlic cloves minced
1/2 Onion, diced
1 tsp. Oregano
1 bay leaf don't forget to pull it out before serving meal
32 oz. Beef broth
1. 6oz. Tomato paste
2 tbsp. Worcestershire
2 tbsp. Baking
Salt n pepper to taste
I used my pressure cooker. Throw all the above ingredients in the pressure cooker mix and cover with pressure cooker lid be careful not to burn yourself when opening your pressure cooker. Once you start to hear the steam trying to escape let it cook for 30 minutes, when the 30 minutes are up let it rest until all the steam escapes open lid carefully and check the meat for tenderness if it is tender then add the water and cornstarch mixture stir n cook open lid for 5 minutes.
1/4 c. Water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Mix well no lumps, set aside, once the stew is cooked you add the water corn starch mix cook for about 5 minutes stir and as it cools the stew juices will thicken. Eat with a side of steamed rice, crackers, biscuits, or corn bread
