Homemade Cabbage Rolls

Homemade Cabbage Rolls

1 Large Head of  kool Cabbage or any cabbage you can find
1 Onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp. Garlic powder
2 1/2 lbs. Ground Beef
1 c. Cooked Rice
1 Egg
1/2 c. Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. Salt and Pepper or To taste
1 Tbsp. of Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp. Rice  Vinegar

Marinara sauce recipe below, use all of the sauce from the recipe below...

Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil drizzle some salt mix then slowly  drop the cabbage in and cook it for a few minutes or until the leaves become pliable. Allow to cool for a few minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, rice, sugar, bread crumbs, rice vinegar, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper, mix well. Layer the bottom dish with leftover cabbage leaves then top with half of the marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish set aside. Now get one leaf and lay it flat in front of you, cut out the stem and place about ¼ of a cup of filling in the center of each one, roll it up making sure to tuck in the sides (roll like an egg roll or a burrito) and place it seam side down in the baking dish if they don't fit side by side then stack them on top of each other, once you finish rolling the cabbage rolls then pour the remaining sauce on top and bake them covered with foil on  350º  for 35 minutes then uncover and bake for 25 minutes more, serve on a buttery bed of rice.

Enjoy
