Beef Stir-Fry






BEEF STIR-FRY

Gather your Ingredients 

3 lbs. steak

3 tbsp vegetable oil 

3 garlic cloves, roughly chopped 

1 1/2 tsp. Ginger root thinly sliced and chopped 

1 onion sliced 

2 bell peppers sliced

1 package of sesame ginger stir fry mix (do not use sauce mix)

1 package of stir fry melody 

Gather Ingredients for marinade (for raw meat)

6 tbsp soy sauce 

4 tbsp Chinese wine vinegar 

1½ tsp baking soda 

2 tbsp. cornstarch

Gather Ingredients for stir fry sauce to use during cooking

6 tbsp. Szechuan Spicy Sauce 

2 top. Sesame oil

6 tbsp. Chinese wine vinegar 

4 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce 

2 tsp sugar 

1 tbsp. ground black pepper 

2 tsp. rice vinegar

1 top. Red pepper flakes 

Let's get started 

In a big bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients set aside.

Slice the steak very thin and add the beef to the marinade mixture, mix with your hands to make sure each piece of beef is coated, set aside to marinate while you get the rest of the ingredients prepared. 

In a small bowl mix all the ingredients for the stir fry sauce and set aside. 

In a large non-stick frying pan over high heat add oil and let it get hot.

Carefully add your marinaded meat mixing it until almost done.

Now push meat to the sides and in the center of the pan add a dash of oil and the ginger root, garlic, onion, and bell pepper, mix well and cook for about 5 to 8 minutes. 

Add the stir-fry sauce and stir-fry for another 30 seconds or until everything is well coated.

Serve on a bed of fluffy steamed rice.

Polvorones (Mexican Cinnamon Cookies) 2 cups flour 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. baking powder pinch of salt 1/2 cup lard (room temp) 1/2 cup butter (room Temp) 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract Let's get started In a dry bowl add flour, salt, and baking powder, set aside. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper set aside. Get you standup mixer, to your mixer bowl add butter and lard cream until they are well combined, now add the sugar and extracts, mix well, will look a little broken that's fine. Now add flour mixture and mix for 2 minutes, pour dough mixture onto a dry counter, using your hands work and gather the dough to form a ball, cut in half and refrigerate for at least an hour. Only pull the dough you are going to use leave the rest in the refrigerator. 4 medium potatoes, rinse and diced ¼ cup oil 1 small onion 1medium tomatoes, rinse and diced 1 jalapeño, rinse and diced 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped Salt to taste In a pot add oil, let it heat up, then add potatoes, cook and let it toast a bit while it's toasting cover with lid to let it steam and softened, do this until it's all toasty lite brown, and cooked all the way through, now add onions, cilantro and jalapeños cook until translucent, then add tomato and salt.  Serve on a corn or flour tortilla.
