Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy
6 (about 4-ounces each) ground beef patties pressed thinly
1 tbsp. Salt
1 tbsp. Black pepper
1 tbsp.. Uncle Chris Spice
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. paprika
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cups milk
On medium-high heat place a pot and add oil let it heat up, you will know when the oil is ready and hot enough to use when you drop a little flour in and the oil bubbles a little.
Now portion out the ground beef then press until they are about 1/4 to 1/2-inches thick. In a rectangle, dish add flour and all the dry ingredients mix well. In another dish big enough to place your patties in, beat the eggs and milk, now run the patties through the flour, then egg mixture, then through the flour again.
Place the chicken friend steak carefully in the pot as the oil will splatter. Cook until golden brown, about 4 to 6 minutes on each side, if they are getting too brown and dark really fast lower the heat a bit.
When finished, place on a sheet tray lined with paper towels, hold in a warm oven and repeat with the other pieces of patties.
Pour gravy over the steak served with a warm roll, mash potatoes, fried okra, French fries, fried mushrooms, buttery corn, salad, or any side of your choice.
